How we use the information you share on cedar.tax and the choices you have about website analytics.
Enquiries and newsletter subscriptions
When you contact us through the website, we receive your name, company, email address, and message. We use those details to respond to your enquiry and discuss how Cedar can help with your claim.
The claim calculator works without sending your figures to Cedar. If you request the full breakdown, we receive your email address, calculator inputs, and the estimate shown when you submit. We use these to prepare your breakdown and contact you about the calculation.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send Cedar news, SR&ED updates, and event information. You can unsubscribe using the link in those emails or by contacting us.
Our website forms use Formspree. The newsletter form also uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam. These providers process the information needed to deliver and protect the forms, under their own privacy policies.
Optional analytics cookies
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit, which links and controls they use, and whether an enquiry or signup succeeds. Google Analytics also processes browser, device, referring website, and cookie identifier information.
Our analytics events exclude form contents and calculator inputs. We strip query strings and page fragments from the URLs we send, and do not send email addresses from email links. Advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled.
Analytics is limited to cedar.tax and www.cedar.tax. Local development and Vercel review deployments do not send events to this property.
Service providers
We use Vercel to host the website, Formspree to process form submissions, and Google for reCAPTCHA and optional analytics. Their services may process information outside Canada. You can read more about how Formspree and Google handle information here:
